Mate I have just been through all the same dramas, mine did the same thing, spewed coolant into the overflow bottle, bubbles int he radiator, took the head off, was blown from the water jacket into cyl 6, the block had eroded away so head gasket was working hard to try and seal, $890 and head reco'd ...

MY MATE HAS A SHORT WHEELBASE MK PATROL(1985) AND IS TRYING TO GET IT REGISTERED AND WE CANT FIND THE CHASSIS NUMBER FOR THE LIFE OF US, WE HAVE REMOVED MOST OF THE DIRT FROM BOTH RAILS, AND ARE STILL HAVING TROUBLE FINDING / SEEING IT. CALLED RON HALL WHO SAID IT CAN BE IN VARIUOS ...

Hi Gang,
I've just recently purchased a MSD distributor(from perfomance ignition) for the GQ. Just wnated some info on where people put the module/computer in the engine bay or inside the car?
Any help / info would be greatly appreciated.

K/N filters
I used to clean mine with turns.... I make sure there was still alittle left in it after all the dirt was washed out then I would add the K/N finer filer gue.... I found leaving a bit of turns sitll fresh in it meant it would break the gue down a bit making sure it got into all those hard to reach ...

Went 4x4ing the ohter week and was running low tyre pressure and got a part of a stick/ massive bit of bark caught inbetween the tyre nad the rim..... What the best way of getting this out? Is it as simple as going to the srvo and deflating the tyre and removing debre and reflateing??? Or is it best ...

Mate I had a new set of the 33'' BGF's on my V8 40 series and I drove the arse out of them both on and off road and I got over 80,000km off each tyre! I would happily buy another set! I found them wick-ed off road aswell

My Lwb GQ had cracks all through the front doors and the bonnet hinges were stuffed. Plated up all the cracks in the doors and put new bolts in the bonnet hinges and the car is now quiet as. A dream to drive. Hope this can shed some light.
