I would reccomend the King One winches from Avenger 4x4 as well.
I have put plenty of these in customers cars, all machined components (no pressed crap) external brake so the free spool is just that true free spool, clutch is very easy to use no force required, water proof solenoid, 9500 Lb with ...

GQ 24V Alternator
Hey Guys,
Does anyone have details , or hopefully pics, of how they mounted a 24V alt onto a TD42?
Am thinking of using the hole where the A/C compressor used to be?
Anyone have details of which alt they used and any pics of the mounts?
Thanks,
Welchy

GQ Ute Seats for a bigger bloke
Hey Boys and Girls,
looking for advice on replacement seats for my gq ute. I am not exactly a small bloke but still need to be able to run 4 point harnesses. And being comfortable would be a bonus :)
A seat where i can still get it all the way back would also be good as there isnt alot of room ...

Re: will diff gears from GQ fit into GU?
yes. as long as your rear ute diff is a 233 not a 260
How do i tell?
I thought it might be onthe compliance plate but i cant see it. Am i right in thinking the 233 and 260 are the diamter of the ring gear?
The gears are already out of the car so i could measure them if thats the case.
Thanks ...

Gu Diff Gears
Hi,
Have got a 2006 4.2 GU wagon that has 3.9 diff gears. The car runs 33" tyres and seems to be missing a bit in the bottom end. Have had turbo upgrade done that improved the top end.
I am comparing it to my 4.2 GQ.

I understand what you are trying to do but haveing spotties come on every time you hit reverse wont make you popular around town, and could have/cause other problems, and legal issues as well.
Safer and more practicle to just manual switch as needed.

Had a similar problem once. I wold check the gause filter in the injector pump. If you remove the inlet banjo fitting you will find a spring. Remove that and then get a piece of wire ( i use a seal pick ). You might think there isnt anything in there but have a good fish around. Blow this out and ...

Turns out that the alafrm had reverted to factory settings - which turns on the anti.hyjack feature ...
