Re: Cruiser diffs

Early 40's have a small pinion and a different flange with a solid pinion spacer. Early 60's also have a different flange and a solid pinion spacer which is a benefit, makes changing the flange easy too. Late 60's have the larger flange like a 70 series but with collapsible pinion spacers which make ...

Re: How do people rate the VDJ76R?

Thats one thing I have noticed with the v8's is that they lack low down torque, they need 1800-2000rpm on board even with 3'' exhaust and chip. Up to 2000rpm my 13BT (4cyl 70 series turbo) eats my dads VDJ79, similar for 6cyl cruisers they also have stronger off idle torque, which is to be expected ...

Copper washers might be to shim the relief valve, you can shim it for higher pressure.

How have you been bleeding it? and have you confirmed fluid flow? Could be a restriction somewhere, faulty/sticking relief, crimped line. The lines the right way around on the box?

GQ patrol, cheap reliable and strong parts anywhere. Should be able to get one $500-$3K depending how nice you want it. If you spent the full $5K on one you could get one already all setup ready to go.

Why not just get the correct manifold? They are not very expensive and fitment would be way better and other off the shelf parts will then fit.

Re: Re: Tyre Topic - Nitto Mud Grapplers

Well I am selling up all my 35''s on 15'' rims and moving to 35'' Nittos on non bead locked 16'' rims. I am hoping they perform similarly to my Toyos which I regularly run down to 12psi without issues no beadlocks.

Thats disappointing, what was the oil pressure going into the turbo? Is it a ball bearing turbo? Some mates with BB garrets have needed oil restrictors on the turbo oil feed due to oil issues.

Re: Tyre Topic - Nitto Mud Grapplers

Long shot but, has anyone tried a Nitto Mud Grapper 35x14.50R15LT on 15x8'' rims? I am looking for an aggressive radial mud terrain to suit a 15x8'' rim in 35'' diameter and the Nitto seems to fit the bill just too wide I think, but I hope.

Re: 13bt into 40 series help

13BT does not use EDIC, for start stop it has a butterfly in the intake which is vacuum operated or you can rig it to a push/pull cable. Yes a 13BT runs a fuel return line, standard it goes back into the tank, not the filler neck. 13BT fan is offset the same as a 3B fan, so if his was initially a 3B ...

Just put a grease nipple on the side, how are you going to get in there to grease it though? Maybe run a grease line along the clutch fork out the side of the bell housing.
