Re: lockright vs spartan locker

The spartan to me looks better made than a lockright. i only say this due to the bigger crosspin and larger springs. Mines still going strong after almost8 months on 35s on the street and offroad.

Re: Lockers??Price?

I used to drive mine on road with the rear locker and 33s happily. Sometimes it would give a bit of a bang when it unlocks but nothing bad. And if your up it round a corner it will chirp, but for the added benefit and reduced price of an airlocker it was definately worth it for my budget truck.

Re: lockright vs spartan locker

Mate mine was a daily for alittle bit with the locker. like i said if you adjust your driving style and remember it is there you shouldnt have any problems, infact it should increase the strength of the diff slightly.

I got mine off ebay!!!

Re: LN46 converted to RN46......why????

Im not exactly sure weather you could. Mine runs a 1 piece shaft which could be standard that has been modified and shortened.

To give you an idea of how far it moves back, try and imagine this....

The original crossmember has been used and the holes at the front on the outerside of the chassis ...

Re: LN46 converted to RN46......why????

Hey mate.

Mine has been converted to a g52 5 speed box.

simply explained the gearbox crossmember moves back about 4 or 5 inchs.
You can utilise some of the original holes from the crossmember and reweld new mounts on. I can try and get a picture at some stage and load it up.

Reason it is a big no no is because some welds are placed and not distributed on the chassis, correct me if im wrong. by adjusting the low ring and the top screw you can change the pressure. best bet is to pump a spare tyre up and re set them.just pump the tyre up to whatever pressure you want and set them.
