Have no idea of actual numbers, but I do know there'll be at least 1 more 2 stroke Suzuki in mod.

Check the Transport QLD website, it seems to say it's okay, certain conditions though.

Mate, for the gaskets, a full set can be bought at Repco for under $100. ACL GD720. I even bought new pistons and rings from Suzuki.

Volts = pressure Amps =flow Ohms (resistance)=the size hole you're trying to push the electricity through. So if the compressor runs at 25 amps and say a dodgy plug drops 2v across it then the dodgy plug heats up at 50watts (25A x 2V). If the dodgy connection was on your starter motor power lead and ...

Yea that's him, called it "a night with absolute wankers" on 4wd action, and went on about destroying the environment, blah blah blah, then he edited it all out.

Do you mean the hard options were heaps easier than the extreme run then? Ie if you can drive all the options could you do the extreme one?

I didn't bother with the speed stage, didn't think the stopwatch would read high enough (or the official would have gone to sleep) for a 540cc car. Fun on the other stages though.

That'll be fun trying to work the placings out, due to the big turnout a lot of us didn't have maps and all our answers are on other peoples sheets, we only had C.P. scores on ours, the rest was on Wes's. Only there for fun anyhow and had plenty of that!

Was that the silver Triton? What happened? Noticed 1 U-bolt plate looked bent while following you (passenger side). I got a few small dings on the 250 point checkpoint but the LJ's gotten to the point that you don't really notice a few more.

2 strokes run better on their side, and when you roll them you can start them as soon as it's back on it's wheels.

Like Joe says, 1 litre Lockright. I used Lockright 1520 in my LJ50 (also installed them in my mate's LJ50) front and rear in both cars. There's a slight difference in the carriers from LJ to 1 litre and this caused the first Lockright to smash into tiny pieces. You need to use 1 litre carriers in LJ ...

The LJ 50 hi range is 1.714, lo is 3.013. LJ80 hi is 1.562 lo is 2.57. The 2 stroke will pull the LJ80 gears but won't really be faster as it won't have the power to rev (something they need to do to go anywhere). A 1 litre front diff will also fit the LJ50 rear but same problem. 80 k's is all you ...

The LJ50 front (not pictured) looks like the LJ80 (the blue one) except the guards are 2" narrower each side and it doesn't have the slots below the grille (but the grilles are interchangeable). The Stockman front (white) is totally different.

The LJ50 guards are 2" narrower each side, the top one appears narrower but I think it's an illusion of the camera. They both have 2 screw lights and I reckon the top is LJ80 and the bottom is Stockman. Stockman have better brakes, bigger rear axles( same size as Sierra) and stronger driveshafts ...

I'd go the F10a, it's lighter and easier to use the LJ gearbox. If you want to drop off steep banks and gullies the a12 might be a little forward and nose heavy often they vibrate too if using the datto box due to the short shaft to the transfer. If it's driveable try it for yourself if you like it ...

The 2 strokes go ok offroad ,need lower gearing if you want big tyres or weld the rear diff, not so bad with Lockrights though. The other thing with the corolla is you'll probably need to cut & shut the sump to miss the diff if you move it back.It would be fairly low already to clear even an LJ80 ...

Don't know about 4 & 5 spds( I assume you mean corolla ones). A lj50 body fits on a LJ 80 chassis because I just put a 80 tub on a 50 chassis today. Only issue was the rear tow point seemed a little offset and 1 rear body bolt was 2-3 mm out ,probably only individual vehicles. If you move the 80 ...

Gasket sets are available from Repco ACL brand p/n GD720 plugs are NGK B7HS (don't use anything else) points gap:.35 - .45mm, dwell 36 deg. Don't bother trying to get power out of it as it still won't be fast, just faster to the next rebuild. 8 to 10 deg BTDC for timing.

The motor that fits best in a LJ is a 2 stroke, they have an extremely high gearbox/crankshaft (notice the cooling fan is on the crankshaft) and any motor bigger than a 1 litre will just make it nose heavy top heavy and just a little scary down steep dropoffs. This won't worry Joeblow's hotrod ...
