Re: TD42 Stroker

Is that a hint, or a statement?

I can see however that some work would need to be done, with the pushrod lash adjustment, but that's ok.

Anyone?????

Re: Sub Tank pump problem

Those are the "people" that say things like, "I only use genuine nissan" and I'm sure they are shareholders.

Any pump will work. I originaly used a Bosh inline pump from a vl, and it worked fine, have also used a Facet pump.

If it is 12v and has an earth and positive only, then it will work. There ...

Re: Sub Tank pump problem

Same wiring and switch. Cut the plug off. You'll need a test light for pos and neg wire. Make a bracket to bolt the carter pump to. I used a post stirrup from bunnings, $2.50 just to protect the pump from rock strikes. Bolt this to where the current pump is bolted. Solder/join the two wires on the ...

Went to evilbay and bought a new Carter pump. Problem solvered! And transfers fuel quicker!

GT2860rs difference to GT2871rs?

Hello everyone. I think this might be a silly question, so here goes. I have just sold one of my rebuilt TD42's so the extra cash will fund my second build, and I was wanting to upgrade.

I currently have a GT2860rs on my truck and would like to go to the GT2871rs, but I would like to know if I can ...

Re: gu factory turbo oil feed bolt?

could be wrong, but it is what you think, bsp. Just remember to get the "tapered version" (bspt) go to any reputable enzed/hose fitting place. I can tell what a 3/8 vs 12 mm is, but I reckon taking the item off and walking in with it, and letting em' size it up wins hands down!

Thanks though.

I seem to recall that the amount of force that a Holden pump will put out, is not qite what is needed to push the trolls wheels?

Your dads suggestion to improve the flow, will be a short fix. You can get a pump rebuilt to handle the extra weight, but the troll pump will be better?

Coolant, what type?

Might seem like a silly question, but I have always used the green catrol coolant, x2 tins for my patrol.

After reading something the other day, should I be using the Red coolant for the alloy radiator in my GU td42t?

Sorry, I thought you were talking about a Landy Disco.

TD05 is a great turbo, try to get the one with a 20g compressor wheel. The standard 12g wheel will die early if you give a bootfull. 16g is nice but 20g is better and you'll piss all over any nissan that comes near you (can't believe I just ...
