my 100 series needs carster corention done after fiting a 3inch lift,
whats the difference between the two when it come to fixing caster?
does one have advantages over the other?

70mm lift – need caster?
TJM make a 70mm lift kit for the 100 series, ive been told that i wont need any caster correction with this kit fitted.
I'm a bit skeptical of this, as i was always under the understanding that anything over 50mm will need some caster correction done.
so what are your thoughts and opinions of this ...

Part Time VS Full Time 4wd?
With standard LCs having part time 4wd does this cause increased ware one the rear pinion and diff, compared to an AWD variant that divides torque between two diffs?
-I know the 1HZ doesn’t put out huge numbers… but with an aftermarket turbo added would the drivetrain cope as well as an AWD ...

Hi Mark,
The 2.0l is a rough old thing, mine makes all sorts of noises. After a service i notice a differace, becomes a little more smoother and quiteter.
But i couldnt tell u if somethings wrong with out hearing it -just give it a good sevice ...by 105k it would need the timing chain done, if not ...

im looking in to buying a 3.0l swb Paj. NH or NJ i think?
But my major concirn is the drivetrain strenght, ive heard rumors about rear axles snaping in the rough stuff....Is this a common problem? and is there any other isues that arise from heavy of road use which i should know about?

Sounds similar to an issue i had with my auto hubs. When in 1st and 2nd low range, with all the touqe going through the front , the hubs made 'baning' and 'clinking' sounds when they were under load. but once you got going all was fine.
