Parts list: (in order from steering wheel to wheels)
55 column
80 rag joint (found inside firewall under dash)
75 intermediate shaft
60/80 box
make a backing plate for the box or buy buds kit which includes crush tube and bolts
75 pitman arm
75 drag link
75 (and maybe 60) arms that go on top of ...

Not much fab work really, just drilling a few holes in the chassis for the box and grinding the shock mount to fit the linkage. After that it's just bolting it together.

But if you are after someone to do it, try Redlands 4wd Centre. I think they do them from time to time, they have in the past ...

Well aware of locktup, was only sourcing my options with the way the oz dollar is. For example the bilsteins i'm after are $75 each on trail gear and $399 a pair from locktup.

and you realise there springs are for a hilux not landcruiser - hilux is a 60mm wide spring, landcruiser is a 70mm wide spring unless you have already changed this.

FJ45, so really any factory sprung over diffs are going to be too small. I am aware you can get sprung under to work very well but i'm just sourcing some other setups first. I'm prepared to throw some $$ at it if its going to be the right setup.

Im looking at buying a 45 series within the next couple of days and power steer is a must. I've just spent a bit searching, there appears to be alot of options.
The engine is a 2f and its in a 77 model ute. I'm not planning on doing this conversion myself i'm planning on paying someone to do it asap ...

RD28T is Interferance fit

Mate 3 years ago on the way home from Nissan trials has the tensioner let got and it jumped out of time and bent every vavle in the head, when the belt snapped it would have bent all the valves. yes you can still turn it over but that don't mean its ok.

yeah mine did this 2 days after getting back from the mechanic who did the timing belt but decided the tensioners were not worth doing, (probably worth doing it myself next time). Its not preety. I needed a replacement head, mine was un-repairable. It also ended up needing a new turbo as it cracked ...

Well it seems everyones got their own opinion and it really comes down to personal choice. Im leaning toward a stick welder though, price is right and it sounds like it should do the job. Also gonna look into the tafe course mentioned, learn properly.

Thanks for the quick replies fellas, it is a 33-12.5-15. Should have went into more detail in my first post. I wont be running it on all 4 tyres, this is only for a spare. Got the tyre and i have the rim sitting there and thought if i could i would put it on that to save a bit of coin where possible ...
