Re: Anchor points
Was looking to fit a 3rd child seat to my GU patrol wagon and realised there is nowhere to mount the anchor point in the middle. ( 2nd row). Have had a chat to child restraint station who explained seat is not engineered to take a restraint in the centre and also is where the 2 seats meet ( 50/50 ...

If you had access to a suitable sized lathe and knew how to use it, you could turn the weld yoke off, cut the shaft to length then install the yoke and weld it in the lathe. I've seen it done, and it does work.

The commode 4L60 (turbo 700R4) auto, like all GM autos, is assembled mostly from the front. Off the top of my head, Adnum Automotives at Heatherbrae, JT Performance in Cardiff (unrelated to the defunct JT Engineering who still owe me money), 4-b-action in Cardiff or 4WD solutions in Singleton.

Re: Cable brake setup on rebuilt car trailer - hot hubs!
1. I find I need to adjust the cable when ever I change loads - as the change in suspension height tightens/slackens the cable a lot.
2. And even once adjusted - Im getting REALLY hot front hubs after long trips. Even though the cable is NOT being run over tight.
This is something I really hate ...

Interesting new RTA requirement for engineering signatories
I got a letter from the RTA today. It was a form letter apparently sent to all RTA signatories on the current ECS (engineering certification scheme).
