Re: FJ40 original seat brackets

Thanks for that. I'm not sure that the brackets are the same. I have a picture on specter off road, but it's an exploded diagram, and the picture is tiny.

The part that I specifically need a photo of I have found on this page: http://www.sor.com/sor/cat118.tam?xax=3270&page%2Ectx=cat118%2Etam ...

FJ40 original seat brackets

Hi everyone,
I am in the process of restoring my 1978 FJ40, and I am up to mounting the front bucket seats, however the previous owner made up some hack job "custom seat brackets", and because of this I am not entirely sure as to what all of the original brackets actually look like. I have a few of ...

Re: Calling owners of V8-converted landcruisers

Just had a look at my engine, and I've realised how low it sits- the chop that I'd have to do would be quite a lot lower than the link that I posted before.

This is my engine as it stands at the moment. The tub is not actually connected to the chassis, it is resting just out of position.

Re: Calling owners of V8-converted landcruisers

Hi Daniel,
I have a 40 series Landcruiser and also went the Dellow route, but it's fouling on my firewall as well (very similar to yours with the rocker covers).
I plan to chop the firewall slightly- Has anyone gone down this path before? (I'm sure someone has)
Can you give any tips or advice on ...

holden v8 workshop manual

I am currently doing a V8 conversion on my FJ40, and i'm needing some slightly more detailed information than what is in the common workshop manuals.

I was wondering if anyone has or knows where to find a "works manual" for a holden commodore vr- vs v8 engine (the one with more detailed info ...

Clutch Question (FJ40 V8 conversion)

Hi all

I'm currently in the middle of converting a FJ40 to a holden 308 v8, and i was wondering if there are any problems withusing the OEM thrust bearing with the new holden clutch.

The diameter of the OEM clutch thrust bearing/ throw out bearing (where it contacts the pressure plate) is ...
