just doing an engine conertion and wanted to weld the new engine mounts straight to the chassis.

Can anyone tell me if u can weld to the chassis in South Australia?

2 ltr 3Y engine at the moment

What do people think about putting a V6 commodore motor in with the standard G52 hilux gearbox.
Is it stong enough or the a better box from another model?

i have the same problem i have an '94 80 series GLX and an '85 hilux extra cab SR5 i drive the hilux more i prefer it. but don't want to get rid of the 80 because it has all the mod cons.
So i keeped both let the misses drive the 80 series.

does anyone no if a mid 90's 80series landcrusier gearbox fit into a 85 hilux?

thinking of this for engine conversion.

does anyone one know if in SA u can weld such things as the drop front spring hangers and that to the chassis with out problems.

i had extractor and 2" system with straight though muffer on my 4runner and i just brought a 84 exrta cab it has extractor on it i'm just got to do the same thing again it worked well. good power incress fron standard

85' hilux whats needed for 35' muddies

i had 2" body lift and 2" suspenion with 33" on my old lux

but want to goto 35" with new lux anyone help plz

mid 90's 80's body but an extra cab type body with roll cage type tray. about 10 in lift over the standard crusier, 37" tyres on 17" wheels, the power plant would come from the new F250 the cummins 7.3ltr turbo diesel V8. with a 5 spd with dual transfer case setup and air lockers standard

can anyone tel me the measurment from the original bolt hole and the new 1 in the caster plates u can buy?

80 series on gas backfires quite often anyone have an answer?

i have a waceo CF 50 and i leave it going most of the time. i have left the 4x4 for 4 days before and it was still going i have a good deep cycle (gel type)battery for the 2nd battery on the dual system

i'm just worried about my spare wheel carrier on the back it is one of those ones that go around the rear bumper so i will have to look into modifing the mounts on that too.

i was asking because i heard somewhere the 80 series tend to crack or something like that has anyone had trouble

the fronts fit good. the backs u have to grind a bees d*%K off the outer edge stuff all i have 15x8 on my 93' 80 series

does anyone no of any problem with 80series having body lifts
because i was thinking of a 2" lift on mine

i had a simillar problem and it was a combination of the drag link being stuffed and there was not enough castor on the front i put a droplink in and some castor wedges and it heaps better now

i'm after it for load and hieght have to tow a race car aswell as do some 4x4 work i was thinking of putting air bags in when towing depend how much they r have to look into it

which brands and heights off leaf spring would u recomend for a 85' hilux 4runner.

i have 2" raised springs but they r saged so time for news ones and go higher if posible

i had the same problem i went and brought a bent arm(draglink) form snake racing fixed the problem they are good for 2" to 10" lifts i think and they are adjustable

i would some pics of a hilux engine bay with a holden V8 in if anyone has any pics. as i am doing the convertion soon.
