Unfortunately it is more complicated than that. Different number of pulses per revolution, so even if it makes the tacho move, it will not read correctly. A lot of V8's share the same tacho pulse rate with 4cyl engines, not that it will help you in this case. You will need to change the pulse ...

Slightly more complex than that as when you turn your headlights on, it will also power your parkers/dashlights/etc
Finding which lines power up and putting relays on them, then switching them with ignition will work, but keep in mind then you won't be able to turn on your headlights/dashlights ...

My LN65 has power steer that has come other of something else. My mate's LN106 looks like it has the same box so I'd go with yes it will fit.
