I have done the same as sootygu. I bought a set of firestone bags off ebay from the USA and fabricated a set of mounts for them to fit my cab chassis hilux.

I copied the mounts from a friends hilux and ordered the same air bags that he had.

All up including bolts it cost me a bit over $300.

I was always advised that a secondary benifit of a muffler was to reduce chance of grass fires. What is the chance of a creating a fire in long grass without a muffler?

Yes Ditch I did get it wrong. As I said it was off the top off my head. I have checked on the weights from a metalcorp book called the steel guide. This book includes mass and bundling data and was published in July 2004.

Do not forget to factor in the weight of the tray. For an off the top of my head calculation you are getting to be over 140kg.

75 * 50 * 3mm wall thickness * 6meters = 33KG

50 * 25 * 2mm wallthickness * 5meters = 10kg

100 8 50 * 3mm wallthickness * 6meters = 50kg

2.4 * 1.2 ...
