Zookjedi,
a) I comp & drive on muddies, not like a lot of others in my class who used, & in other comps use specialised tyres.
b) yes, I would love to compete in Nissan Trials, but don't see the point in running 6" suspension in std class, as the top guys do.
c) mmm. via Mt Sugarloaf, one of the ...

If you are looking for events that allow 35" tyres to compete in a class, there are plenty out there. If you are looking to run 35" tyres on your rig, I would say thet you already do some pretty serious driving on tracks. Most people I kmow run a beefed up suspension kit , & the possibility of ...

What a great weekend..... This comp was great, I also went to Clubkhana last week. Both these comps were similar, & I hope more people support Son of Trials next year. These two comps are what keep the fun in 4wding, without having to spend a lot of cash on the truck......

Thanks to all who ran the ...

If you do the right things to the 2.8, it can be quite the weapon. My brother ran 36" simex all the time. You have to get them to breath. If you look at the back of the turbo, there is a restricter plate in the dump pipe. To my knowledge, the turbo has a 3" exhaust outlet, but the restricter hole is ...

You are able to run a tube tray in modified. ie: patrol wgn cut down to twin cab with tubetray. ( they did last year). On the topic of all the people who now want to try and join clubs so they can compete, I'd say it may be too late. Most clubs have had their teams picked and all their driver/ nav ...

In the GU rear, you can actually adjust the spring tension to the point of making it a fully locked diff. Very good when the comp rules state you may only have a locker in the front. I also know that the patrol diffs are rated to 7 ton. If toyota diffs are so advanced in technology, why do so many ...

just remember most comps have classes, the more u modify, the higher the class, the harder the track, the bigger the damage. I personally use my patrol 4 more than comps, just like many others, and find the standard class to be very good 4 me. It allows me 2 put a total of 2" suspension, ( springs ...

I have to agree with pat, air is great 4 highway use. The so called problem of them not working as well when in the bush can be overcome with the use of thermo fans that can be turned on when needed. The other problem you need to watch is the size of the unit. Too big, and you end up with lag. I ...
