31's on a NT

I have a set of 31x10.5 M/T's on 15X7 sunnies. A bloke looking to buy them off me wants to put them on an 85 LWB NT Zuk but not sure if they will rub on the springs. Do any of you guys know for sure if this will be the case or will they be fine???

I had them on my 89 WT with no drama's.

Almost, out the back of malaga before it was all factories. Just caused by inexperience, trying to swerve around potholes going way to fast, overcorrected and bang. They reckon it rolled five - six times to land where it did.

I come off with a fractured verterbrae, shoulder blade snapped in two and ...

It was my first experience with a sierra let alone 4WDriving. Swore i'd never buy one myself - since owned two :D I was in ...

This happened to me once while replacing the pin - as mine had snapped as well. The little peice had fallen down inside and was sitting just under the locator/selector bits. After I had removed the top plate I was able to fish around with one of those flexible magnetic tipped things (couple of bucks ...

Glass tops

This will probably only apply to WA guys.

Had a guy asking where I got my fibreglass canopies from but not sure as they were on there when I bought my Zuk.

Told him I would ask around.

Anyone know who in WA makes or stocks fibre glass canopies??

Cheers.

2" is definately easier, apart from what what was already mentioned you will also have cut the transmission tunnel to allow the gear sticks to go into gear properly for a 3" BL.

It depends what your using for the BL.

Most guys just use the existing studs. I just cut them down, tapped thread all the way up the stud and bolted on my BL block. Then just feed another bolt up from the bottom to hold to chassis, use plenty spring washers.

Nuggs, why do you want this transfer case anyway. Most people would put a 1.0l T/F case into a 1.3l is for ratio reasons. It certainly helps with larger than standard tyres, has a small ratio drop in low range and is cheap option, however most people would buy a lower range gear set to do the job ...

Nuggs, the 1.0l flanges are different to both types found on a 1.3l ie. N/T and W/T, so yes you will have to change flanges. If you are keeping your existing transfer case, best to take the flanges off it and put on the 1.0l case shafts. Theory is that they will fit on but I've also seen them not ...

with the case from 9/83 1l NT (with 4WD light) aside from the hand break drum/flange will the other 2 flanges need to be swapped over to 1.3 flanges as well or will they bolt up to my drive shafts ok??

Nuggs, your model is equivalent to a SJ413-6. Should have a G13BA 1298cc engine. Your best bet is to get a 1.0L transfer case out of an MG410 Maruti W/T (92-99) if possible but others from 9/83 (w/4WD light) will bolt in. You would have to remove handbrake drum on anything that comes out of a N/T ...
