Sorry about the hijack but I have an automatic lux :?. When putting selector lever all the way down into 1st there is not a lot of lever left (not enough to accomodate a 2" body lift.) Its a TJM comercial bar

as silly as it seams i couldn't sell it or give it away!
it does have the winch holes etc but after taking it off and seeing how it was made i would never put a winch on it! was actually quite disturbing!
and i still have the top section so i can weld it back on if i wanted

What am i looking at $$ wise (not big on 4x4 suspension) (give me coilovers and control arms any day!)

water and oil lines are easy to hook up you just have to find the best place

Being slightly different floor pan to the aus delivered 4 door lancer you will probably find there is not enough structure in the back of the car to tow

Remember it was designed to go fast not tow boats! ;)

the 4wd layout might hinder fixing points etc as well

depends wether the bar is to be engineered
if so you will need the points where you weld the bar to checked by an engineer and approved for welding or if bolting to body tub you will need backing plates (google or DOT search will bring up the requirements)
personally not sure what hapens with cab ...

Good quality well built etc and adr/dot approved

They are well aove the ricer stuff but at a reasonable price expect to spend around 600 a seat new for one thats fixed back
reclining are expensive in the sparco range

ok had a good look at the tyres that are currently on it atm

(pirelli scorpions or something to that effect?) they are 205x16's on i think 6,6 1/2 inch rims not quite sure

if i can keep the standard rims its a bonus just wondering how much of a bulge you can have in a tyre ? just want to fill ...

Being new to all the wheel/tyre stuff for 4x4's I was wondering how the system works as its not the same as passenger cars/perfomance cars etc

I see tyres advertised ie 265x10.5x15 etc but the 16 inch wheels are advertised differently??

I know how all the measurements and percentages work etc ...

I pick up my triton in a few days 2000 model with low k's getting it at a good price and i know where its been since new!

they aren't cheap if you can find a good one same with hilux's too

FWIW the triton has a massive turning circle which makes tracks/trails harder etc but towing, loads etc ...

Bull bar fitters throw out a lot of plastic bumpers so may pay to call a few of them.

Tried quite a few places TJM @ moss st was quite helpful in getting me all the parts i need and i guess they will get my business for all the accessories that i am going to fit as well
