They are both quite soft shocks.

Only had the car 4 months, and been fixing it up (I got it cheap from a yard with some problems)

Its all done now (except bearings at the front, last item!)

Well, I have never competed before, but would like too.

I would like to see maybe a mud run course being made, rock crawling, and maybe a tracks designed to test a vehicles capability and driver skill on times couse.

Hills climbs, big ruts, mud, rocks, creeks... the usual.....

Im running a mini spool in the front of my hilux.
I would not recommend fitting one in the front unless you are short of funds and only have a open centre. Its a dam pig to steer a fully locked vehicle on hard ground, not to mention cv strain!

on a solid axle hilux they are about 2 degrees positive standard.

If you use the orbit eyes or jonny joints (same thing different size) you will have to get new mains made wider at least the width of the orbit eye and to approx 49mm so as you have a press fit tolerence . Richard at 4x4 engineering Acacia Ridge in brisbane is using them on a hilux fitted to the fixed eye of the rear springs combined with superior 4wd shackles they leave no strain on the spring whatsoever.

Im running falcon springs with superior 4wd shackles on rear approx 200 mm longer than stock hilux and parabolics on front with superior 4wd shackles( parabolics are a bit tough to flex but with the shackles they work excellent. You can see some pictures at http://community.webshots.com/user/realux
