Suggestions - Mounting Electric Fuel Pump

Post by c110gtr »

Hi

I'm replacing my solid state electric fuel pump with Black Carter fuel pump.

My old fuel pump used to be mounted on the lower part of the firewall, I was advised and also researched that it should be lower than the fuel tanks.

The fuel tanks are still under the seats.

I'm not really sure where I should mount the new carter fuel pump

also the engine is a 351 C FJ40 SWB

currently running 5/16 hose, do I really need to upgrade to 3/8"s?
Its running stock, I think 5/16 is enough right?

Thanks in advance
