PTROOL's rebuild

Post by Eric »

Hi guys in the middle of re-building PTROOL. I was wondering if anyone here that has done the Q45 mod , has pic's of there engine fit . I did see someone here with a twin turbo set up and I am interested on how they got the motor to sit so low . After 3 hrs of mesurments , I found that I need to drop the engine 2" from it's original possition. Exaust is a issue and looks like the steering box needs to move 1" also .

Looking forward to any info available .

Cheers and merry Xmas

Eric,

Any chance of pics of the fabricated bellhousing while youve got it in bits? Be interested to know if its holding up, ie no cracking?

Cheers

Saw the website build up of a LWB Patrol running twin turbo's...

That bellhousing will be indestructable - I saw it being built - tonka tough welds in there.

Good luck and take pics!!!

Thanks for that GQ . I had a quick look , no photos or info on the fit . I had seen a photo somewere and it looked like he had the engine sitting down a fair way . I am just bamboozled on how he did it . From my quick calculations , it looks like i need to do a chassis rail mod to get the hang on's to fit.
