I know im keep going on about this but i have four options and i would like your opinions on what would be the best. Im chasing a bit better fuel economy and more low down power while trying not to sacrifice the motor in any way. By the way its a 4.2 turbo diesel GU ute
1: diesel gas (my mechanics dead against it)
2: Intercooler
3: different turbo
4: turbo upgrade
Cheers in advance.

I put a 3" mandrel exhaust on my 4.2 factory turbo. Denco Dump pipe, set the timing, upped the fuel quite a bit (please get a Exhaust temp gauge before you do that) and wound the boost up to 15psi. I get around 12ltrs/100km on the highway driving normally (ie: if the speed limit is 110km/hr, i do that, up hill or down), i guess if i babied it a bit more it'd be better. But i really cant complain :) Oh, mine pulls away in 3rd gear from just over 1000rpm pretty well, by 2000rpm its puttin over 10psi in. So i guess the low down grunt is pretty good. The clutch isnt......but you get that ;)

3 and 4 are same : different turbo / turbo upgrade 1: diesel gas (my
2: Intercooler
1: mechanics dead against it) - fuck the mechanic, its your truck

although I'll be interested to see how they go in 200,000klsm

Ashley, i have a 3 inch exhaust and dump pump and if i baby it on the highway doing 100 i get 13 or 14ltrs per 100. Mine pulls from about 1700 and its shithouse of the mark, ive had it tuned and apparently its got 138hp at 3000 and 8something nm at 2400 but im not so sure
And bogged i would love gas but i dont want to put my mechanics nose out of joint cause there,s f**k all other descent mechanics in this village.
